While wearing a friends parka in windy subzero Alaskan conditions I was toasty warm and experienced no drafts or cold.

The only thing that would make it better would be making it without a front zipper. Creates a cold spot. Would be nice if it were available as a pull over. Other than that the parka is amazing!

I'm from Chicago and with the wind chill, temperatures can reach -35 so I needed a ridiculously dependable jacket. I bought a 250.00 jacket from Spyder and it was basically worthless with the wind. After searching countless reviews I couldn't find anything worth buying for real weather. Then I found Norther Outfitters and bought the parka liner and long johns! Needless to say ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Thank you Northern Outfitters and I'll will be see you again soon for more arctic gear!!

All we can say is that the gear sure is impressive stuff!!!! We wouldn't say it if we didn't mean it. Allen says he would have frozen to death on the Yukon Quest last year without it. I was pretty hesitant years ago. Who would have known that I didn't have to run up and down the Yukon River with a frozen bum those many years! Thank you, Northern Outfitters. Just a quick comment on the review below--we've tried many other parkas, including Native American garments, and have found the Northern Outfitters Arctic Parka and Arctic Liner to be by far the best for the extreme conditions we race in. Wind chill is always a factor, but we use the NO Wind Anorak when the wind is more than 15 mph, and it works really well. If there was anything better out there we would be using it!!
