"Jim, I am sending this Email in appreciation of a great product. I purchased your Arctic System for use on a polar Bear hunt in March/April of 2007. I was at first very skeptical that this gear could be THAT effective, and when I read that is most effective worn against the skin. (NAKED AT -40 ????????) I had to call and talked to your sales people who assured me that all the claims were true. The weather was pretty much -25 to -30 daytime temps (I had a pocket thermometer) with constant 10 to 40 mph wind. I NEVER got cold as long as I was fully suited up. We spent up to 12 - 14 hours a day glassing for Bears with very little activity and still I was very comfortable. Several times we took walks further out over the ice. This was very difficult going as the wind and ocean had piled the ice into 5 to 50 foot piles 2-3 miles wide, because of the effort required to climb through the ice you would work up a real sweat. I had always heard that working up a sweat was the first NO-No of Arctic survival. The Experts need to rewrite that rule with this vatrex gear you could feel the sweat tricking down your back during hard exertion, but when you slowed down in a short time you would feel dry again without EVER feeling cold. The only time that was uncomfortable was when I was out of my gear in my sleeping bag. I am planning a trip back to the Arctic in the 2008 - 2009 season. You can bet I will be using your gear again and this time your companies Sleeping Bag!! Thanks Again."

"After using the new Vaetrex System for the past two years in the Iditarod Trail Dog Sled Race, I am amazed with the Vaetrex System's ability to wick away moisture and block gusting winds without compromising mobility and warmth. I am convinced that Northern Outfitters' Vaetrex System is the finest cold weather gear available on the market today."
